where does iphone 5 save edited picture

I edited a picture and then saved it but it did not appear on my phone. Only the original picture was there. What happens when I touched save and it said saving picture?

it depends on the app really and also what save option you used. So what I would say is to go back into the app and then hit Save again and see if it has a clue about where it saves the image. Unless it says Save to Roll it might just be saving to the app itself.
