Vibrate Problems

I have an iPhone 3g, jailbroken, that does not vibrate for anything except calls. the motor obviously works because if I call the phone or use the profile switch, it vibrates. the vibrate feature worked when I jailbroke the phone its been about 2 weeks now. Icant pinpoint when I actually realized it wasnt vibrating, I thought I was just missing texts. I havent installed any profile apps.

My first thought, while reading this, is that it's a hardware issue.

I don't believe a jailbreak will render your phone's hardware useless but it's possible I guess.

Have you tried restoring phone at all? Sucks to do it I know but it helps very much to identify the problem.
