Verizon iphone 5 - GSM SIM

Dont know if this is possible but here goes.....I have a iphone 5 on verizon, can I use a net 10 gsm sim while still under contract with verizon? I would like to be able to switch between the two. I live in a rural area, some places AT&T is strong with no Verizon. Thanks for your help

Yes u just won't get LTE on the net ten sim
