I just received an email from Apple (I think), with the following:

Apple.jpg

The email appears to be from: Apple Beta Software Program <betaprogram@InsideApple.Apple.com>

I was surprised to get this because I have never signed up to be a member of the Apple Beta Software Program and I am quite certain I have NEVER installed beta software.

I can't help but wonder if this is a phishing expedition. The hyperlink included in the email (which I did not click) is about a zillion characters long. If it is fake, it's a really good fake.

(BTW, I couldn't decide where to post this so moderators please feel free to move it as necessary.)

It’s legit. It came from Apple. It’s where you manage your Apple ID.

If you ever question an email’s validity, just type in the domain name into your web browser.

I got one too. But I had done beta before for iOS 10. None since then. I did jump on iOS 16 Public beta. The email helped push me to do it.

I received the same email last month. I have done public betas in the past. It’s legit.
