Solo loop bands

Before I ordered my series 6 watch with solo loop band, I measured my wrist 3 times, and had my wife help me two more times. Size 10 on the dot. So I ordered. When it came in and I tried it on, it was a little loose on my wrist. If I shook my wrist even slightly, the watch would move from one side of my wrist to the other. So I went on Amazon and bought a size 9 solo loop band. Perfect fit without being too tight.

Anyone else noticed this?

Yes. When you measure for size, you really need to make the measure tape TIGHT against your wrist, not as loose as you think the band should be. I ordered a 6 because that's what I measured; it was too loose. Returned it and ordered a size 5 woven loop - it's a bit tight, but much better than the 6.

That’s why I was a little uneasy about ordering one. I think I will just stick to the standard sport loops.

So after a short conversation with Apple, I’m sending the OEM size 10 back and they are sending an OEM size 9. I already have a couple more Amazon size 9 bands arriving Sunday.

Yeah, it was tight against my wrist and it was dead on size 10.

Also, when I do use the measuring strip from Apple, I am between 5 and 6. I suggest if you use the strip yourself, and you are between measurements, go to the lower number - it will fit better.

My wife just got her new series 6 with a size 7 band. Measurement was snug against her wrist. She's sending back the 7 and Apple is sending a 6.

I'm interested in one but was planning on buying it at the Apple store so I could try it on. Of course, who knows when that will be.

Might be a dumb question can you get solo loops for a series 5?

Yes. The Solo Loop on Apple's site says it is for Series 4 and later, so S5 qualifies. (The bands will obviously also work on a S3 and earlier, but the sizing tool that Apple has created would be slightly off for those models.)

Yes, the band I got with my s6 did fit my s3.
