Signature, or not?

I'm not sure if this is related to the OS, or merely to having an email account on your smartphone. But, I notice a lot of people have the default signature on for email, "Sent from my...".

Curious, why do YOU, if you do, use it?

When smartphones went on sale waaayyy back in the day, I understood the need to advise someone that they were being sent an email from a mobile device, etc. Now that smartphones are more common place, and thus probably the first place an email is being sent from, is the "Sent from me...", needed? Is it more about 'marketing' and advertising now?

I still have that default "sent from my....." on my iDevices. I don't use my phone or Air to send very many emails, and IF I do, depending who it's getting sent to will depend on if I scroll down to the bottom and physically remove the default before sending.

I still use the default signature. The exception is my work email account.

I go to settings and delete the signature. Personally, I don’t see the need.

I keep meaning to change it to just my name. I find myself deleting it everytime ha ha! I think it's marketing personally

It's kinda douchy to keep the default and announce what phone you're using. Especially if it's for business.

I just didn't bother to change it. I switch devices a lot so it's not really a thought that crosses my mind.

I don't bother with it and no one's asked me about it until this post.

Same here. I did the same for whatever Blackberry I was using also. I hardly think that the person on the other end cares what device I'm emailing them from.
