How are people adding symbols?

Change your monogram to the  symbol, for example (copy and paste it from this post if that's the one you want), and add it to monogram on the Watch app on your phone. Then choose a watch face with the monogram complication.

Monograms are in the clock section. Forgot to say that part. And emojis don't work, just FYI.

Good idea! Sometimes I find it difficult to quickly determine the time based on Mickey's hands.

Unless I am missing the setting how did you get the digital time in the upper right hand corner, the only time setting I see is for UTC

If you set the "Chronograph" face in white you could use it for some quick light when it's dark ! But don't use it as your current watchface cause it use more battery then the other watchfaces.

I do too. I have my work watch face, modular, that has everything I need for in the classroom and my off time faces, I just play with the different faces and complications. It's fun.
