regular IPad

I have a regular ipad and i can't get it to stay on...It is charged but when I go to hit settings or google it just goes back to the menu screen...

Try rebooting your device. If that doesn't help, you may need to connect it to iTunes, and restore it. You can also try going to Settings-General-Reset and then selecting "reset all settings".
