People can't hear me well while talking through cellular

I

iMore Question

iPhone XR, iOS 14.7.1

When I talk to someone, they say that I'm like "far away", while talking it gets better and worse, but mostly worse.

This happens only while regular cellular calls. When I call through messengers or record a voice message, it's totally fine.

What I have tried to do:
- Take off the phone case
- Clean holes on the bottom side of the phone
- Turn off noise cancellation function
- Reboot the phone

What might cause the problem?
How can I fix it?

Is this occurring while you’re using a Bluetooth headset. If so, unpair and then pair them with your iPhone again. You can also try selecting the “reset network settings” option in the Settings.
