my iphone 5 screen went all black, why?

I opened my iphone to clean the camera because it had a tiny plastic wandering around and it couldn't let the camera do its job focusing. When I closed the iphone, the screen went black. please help.

I can still answer calls with my headphones and use siri it's just that the screen is unresponsive

I think it might have to do with the digitalizer or LCD
I don't know Please help :,c I want to save my money

When you say you "opened my iPhone", are you saying that you took off the front faceplate and were able to see the innards of the device? If so, retrace your steps to make sure everything is connected properly.
