"My Info" under settings/contacts?

I bought a used phone.
How do I remove previous owners name in my info

First delete the previous owners contact card if there is one.
Then create your own contact card with your number, email, etc.
Then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendar > scroll down to the Contacts section > Tap "My info"> then tap your name in the contacts list.

I did it wrong the first time and picked my brother as the contact. I went back and changed it to myself three times; I have done this I am almost 100% positive the right way, and it still won't change from my brother to me. what do I do?
