Microsoft Office (mobile version) is free for mobile devices (10.1" screen size or less). The Mac/MacBook uses the desktop version, if I'm not mistaken.

Correct. They stick pretty strictly to the 10.1" rule, regardless of whether it's the mobile or the desktop version.

For me, these apps are
Microsoft Office - I'm a student so I have lots of reports to do
Adobe DX, Visual studio code - these are apps for developers, if you code, you'll know
Evernote- for my notes,
Dropbox, Skype/Zoom - quite clear
WorkTime- for productivity and schedule notifications,
Photoshop, TeamViewer, VLC, uTorrent, Google Chrome - guess, I shouldn't explain these

Search for the one of my apps named "Video Size Compressor". It compresses videos and still keeps good quality. It is currently popular amongst the Mac users.
