Good morning everyone,

I would like to get a list of must-have apps to install into my new MBP. These might include paid and free ones.

Since it's my first Mac, make a little description about what they're used for.

King regards.

A quick search of the forums will turn up several threads that answer your question:

Mine top 5 are:

1Password (Storing & Generating Passwords)
Carbon Copy Cloner (Cloning of your harddrive to external drive. Replaces Time Machine)
Total Finder (Adds and expands features in Finder)
Parallels (Allows me to run Windows or Linux on my Mac)
Hyperdock (Expands dock features to allow me to see what is open in an app without opening the app)

I have many more I use that are equally useful to my workflow.

Definitely 1 Password (If you had to pick just one app I'd say this is a must have)
Fantastical 2- if you need a more powerful, better organized calendar app.
Tweetbot- if you're looking for a solid Twitter client.
Caffeine- I love this one as it allows me to either keep my screen on indefinitely or set a timer.
Byword- one of the best distraction free word processors out there.

Libre Office (free) and the built in mac office software isn't bad if yocan't afford Microsoft office. I think Office university is a one time payment good for the life of the machine.
