Lost ios5 after update to

Hi...I apparently lost my iOS5 when I auto updated to iOS6.1.4. What a surprise, now can't use many of my apps .. I'm now aware of needing 2 backup the push BLOBS.. & that mine are most likely "history" ...but read where some people are using another phones ios5 BLOBs to restore the benefits again. Any suggestions, please, wd be appreciated. I'm new to Apple but I like it.

You cannot use the shsh of another device. Once you're on iOS 6 you're stuck there, sorry.

Why are you surprised you lost ios5 by updating to ios6? Wasn't that the entire point of updating to ios6?
