Losing email history

In my gmail account, I keep losing all my saved emails from all my folders, how can I retrieve them?

Welcome to iMore! You may be deleting the emails elsewhere, causing them to delete from the folder. For example. I dropped an email in the "personal" folder. I go to the "Important" folder and delete that same email. Then go to the "personal" folder and it's gone. If you delete them out of "All Mail", that also deletes them out of folders.
