That's how they all work. I don't know of a widget app that says calendar under the widget. You title it so you can find it easier when you press the widget and choose edit "Widgetsmith". Apple requires the app name be under the widgets. But I am starting to see a few that show nothing.
This is why you title a widget. Make it easier to choose which one to use.

Does the Apple calendar app say Apple under it? Also, if you press it it takes you to the calendar app. This is what I’m talking about and wish Widgetsmith did.

None of the widget apps take you to an iOS app when you tap the widget. Apple's apps are default apps. They can do it as they please. I imagine they have restrictions on how 3rd party apps can title theirs. Readdle's calendar app says Calendars 5. But widgets are different. Mostly due to Apple's restrictions.

That’s what I figured, it’s restricted by Apple. If it’s a security risk that’s ok with me.
