Lag when receiving alot off messages

I have a 128gb iphone 6plus and im apart of a few group messages. When ever alot of messages are coming through quickly and I'm using any other app. I will notice a great deal of lag. Has anyone noticed this? and if so any fixes

Same thing happens to me when I get a lot of texts at once the screen freezes and I can't click anything until the texts all come in. No idea how to fix it I just learned to live with it.

does it have anything to do with my device being jailbroken? is yours jailbroken also?
