Same here, although I would take the reg black too. But what difference does it make, cause at the end of the day, its going in a case anyway?

I was considering it, but given the fact it would be in a case so only parts would even show off, in addition to how easily it will scratch (reminds me of the 5S black/grey paint problems). So I opted for the one color I haven't purchased Rose Gold, my wife got matte black which I also found boring. Every phone today pretty much comes in black, colors are now prevalent but black phones for me are boring.
