Jailbreaking IPAD wifi

Someone is offering an IPAD WIFI for $90 because they have been locked out of their account too many times. Having never personally owned an Apple product, I want to know if this would actually work. And what the pros and cons would be to just buying a new one

Jailbraking won't help. There's no way to bypass the iCloud Activation Lock. If it's just the device passcode, they can reset the device by following these steps. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306

But again, if there is an iCloud Activation Lock on the device, as well, there's no way around that without having the correct credentials.

Thats an iBrick at this point. If you want/need spare parts, buy it. If not I would leave it alone.
