Jailbreak issue with iTunes

Ok so don't flame me,

*I used Pwnage tool 2.2.5
*I did all the correct power and home button combos it leads you through
*I have a hub inbetween my iPhone and my computer
*Yes I'm running 10.5.6, but I have applied the kext fix
*When I try to restore the iPhone after entering in DFU (white screen) then *iTunes tells me that it has to restore it and it goes through all the necessary processes then says it can't do it error 2006

Do I need to copy the pwned ipsw file into my itunes dir? Is there a way to restore without iTunes?

Thankfully I can get back into the iPhone by holding down the power button.
