Is there a way of getting iMovie for iPad to access and display the video clips from Dropbox?

Having just installed iMovie on my iPad I am 'exploring' the tools available. It seems when you create a new project movie, a list of available clips etc are listed for you to choose from. However, these seem to come from the 'Photo's area of the iPad. I have many video clips within Dropbox and it these I wish to display and select to create a project, but I can't see any way of doing it.
Any help on this please? Is there a way of getting iMovie for iPad to access and display the video clips from Dropbox, or a way of copying Dropbox video clips to the 'Photos' area of the iPad?

I don't see a way of doing it either on my iPad. Hopefully someone else will provide a solution if it can be done.

If you download a video from Dropbox using the Dropbox app, it should save to your Camera Roll. I'm assuming that's what you mean when you say "the Photos area of the iPad".
