Is my Apple ID exposed on a fresh Mavericks install?

everything I read about sells my your Mac tells me to wipe the system and install Mavericks from the system partition or an Internet connection. However both options then proceed to request your Apple ID. Previously you could install without exposing your Apple ID.

Is my Apple ID now attached to this clean install? Or is it just used to download the files. Previously you could set up a machine so it stated at the welcome screen ready for a new buyer/user to configure for themselves

I completely erased the hard drive and partitions of my MacBook a while back and reinstalled OS X Mavericks. I did the same thing with OS X Yosemite. Having said that, I can't recall being asked for my Apple ID. I'm not saying that I wasn't, I simply don't clearly recall. Anyway, check out the information via the following link. You may find it quite useful.
