I have an iPhone 6s Plus it has a bad IMEI so i have planned to replace the motherboard, but i have heard rumors saying that Touch ID doesn't work after replacing the motherboard.

Thank You!

A device with a bad IMEI typically means the device was stolen. It is my understanding that the TouchID mechanism is paired to the every device’s chipset and therefore attempts to switch out this or that will cause TouchID to not function properly even though the home button itself may work.
