Received my phone on launch day and finally got around to seeing what the battery cycle count was using Coconut Battery. I’m at 64. Just curious to see where everyone else is at.
Mine is at 196 cycles. What defines a cycle and how many is the X rated for?
Thanks! It looks like I made a good move getting AppleCare+ on my iPhone X. My 7 Plus is at 212 so I should replace it before it's out of warranty.A full cycle is considered a full discharge of your battery from 100% to 0%, or the equivalent (in other words, going from 100 to 50 twice is considered 1 cycle). iPhone batteries are designed to hold at least 80% of original capacity for 500 cycles.

IndeedSamsung devices can go through 500 cycles (2 years) and still maintain 95% of its original capacity. Apple needs to figure out its batteries so they can last just as long as the batteries in Samsung devices.

Come on Blaine!Gonna have to check mine... afraid I don’t want to know though.
I don’t have a Mac. Is there any way I can check my cycle count ?
No idea. I don’t check since I’m always swapping devices with Apple warranty.

Why do you have to swap so often? I think the last time I’ve swapped a phone for warranty was when I bent my 6 Plus.
