iPhone Calendar Search Not Working

Recently upgraded to the 16 Pro. Everything went great in setting it up and restoring all my data from iCloud backup. A few days later a new software update showed up so I went ahead and updated to the latest iOS 18.

I’ve now noticed that when doing a search on the calendar app, events are not showing up but they are in fact there, they just show up as No Results.

I’ve included two screen shots showing the even and then doing a search where it shows as no results. Not sure what’s going on or how to fix this. Anybody else experiencing this?IMG_0530.jpegIMG_0531.png

I just tested on my phone with iOS 18.0.1 and it worked fine.

Maybe it’s still indexing your calendar?

Both were already enabled.

Have you tried Reset All Settings?
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset All Settings

This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, wallpapers, Reminders, and clock settings like wake up alarms.

I haven't tried this yet. This is something I'm trying to avoid having to do as I would have to reconfigure all my settings. The only issue I'm having is with the calendar search/results.

What do you mean by still indexing?

I still haven't been able to get this fixed. I've followed the suggestions provided on here. Anything else to try besides resetting all settings which is something I'm trying to avoid doing as I would have to reconfigure all my settings

It’s something that happens in the background. Your device collects all the items and puts in a searchable index.

If the items are not indexed, they can become unsearchable.

At this point in time, I would hesitate saying that it’s still indexing.

Try disabling the Calendar app in the account settings, give it 2 hours to clear out and re-enable it. Then wait 2 hours (for indexing).

It would avoid resetting the phone if it works.
