iPhone 3D?

This is a conversation that I had with a friend of mine who is a Ex-Apple worker. I know that the people who work at apple probably know less than we to at TiPb, but I though it would be cool to post this, and see what you have to say! He supposedly works for FonLabs

OWNAGE. A phone and a gaming portable. My Old school nintendo ds is too fat and I haven't played it in years.

Yep. Already does 3D graphics, and quite well for a mobile, using OpenGL and the PowerVR graphics core.

Next gen will probably just do more and faster.

Maybe it will display holograms ala Star Wars. Who needs video conferencing when we can have hologram conferencing!!!

or it'll have a magic transporter in it. set something on the screen, press the button, and voila. its sitting in somebody elses palm/on their iphone!

I think an iPhone Video (camera & conferencing) would be more likely than an iPhone 3D. Having 3G and 3D coming out back to back would be too confusing for the genpub.
