iPad pro 10.5 external hard drive

Hello all I am wondering if I can connect my HDD external drive to my iPad. I’m reading mixed information online. Here is a pic of what I have. I know I read that I at least need a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. Will that be enough to power my external drive? If not I also read something about a powered usb hub, but I’m not sure how that would connect? Would the usb hub have a wall plug to give it power and then I plug my drive into it and then plug the hub into the adapter for my iPad? Here’s a pic of the drive I have. Have you tried it since the newest iPadOS update?
