I think it might be replacing my iPad Air (2020) with the mini. It’s $120 (excl. taxes) less expensive than the current iPad Air and a more reasonable screen size for my use case.

My wife, a dedicated Mini user, has an iPad mini 5 bought in 2020 and the battery health is below 80%, so it doesn't hold a charge for long. So, perfect timing for us - I may see if there is a "Black Friday" deal and buy then, or perhaps in a few weeks if the battery gets even worse.

Going without the home button and with USB-C will be a big change for her. She has an iPhone 13 Mini, so will be fine with the gestures, and this will be her first USB-C device, so charging stuff (especially travel) will change.
