You know those digital thermometers that have a sensor outside, and a little hardware stand you put in your house to view the temperature from the comfort of your home?
I've been looking for something exactly like that, but one that reports the temperature to your phone. I have a building that I need to monitor the temperature of consistently, and setting up a little thermometer that reports the temp to my iphone while I'm out would be perfect.
I have seen the kickstarter for the indoor temperature headphone jack, and though this is similar in theory to what I need to do, it means I would have to be on site to know the temperature. I need something for while I'm off site. I've searched and searched, have yet to find a station that reports indoor temperature to my phone.
Short of installing the "Nest" home thermostat, is there any affordable option? These used to be available for $30 easily, there must be something available somewhere.
