If the cover is on the ipad can it still continue to tape

I was in a meeting today and the parent stated that they were taping the meeting on their ipad. I noticed that she put the cover on at times, my question is, was the device still taping whenshe put the cover on?

If you're referring to the iPad Smart Cover then yes, it's possible. A person can listen to music under those circumstances.
