i want to create a boot installer USB drive with the latest el capitan. However i cannot get the installer to download from the app store. Can anyone offer suggestion?

Is the Download button missing from your purchased list in the Mac App Store? If so or if it doesn't work, I'm not sure how to fix that, except to maybe look up El Capitan in the Mac App Store and try the link in the product page.

i can easily create the boot usb once the installer downloads. I have done it for earlier versions of el capitan. My issue is that when i press the download button and get the cancel or continue button...the installer does not download...the spinner just spins

have you trier to download the installer?
