Every time I log on to my MacBook Pro I'm presented with an all black screen with the gray white padlock and a place to put a password. I put every password I can think of but I cannot get back into my machine. What can I do?

Though, I suspect you are not even able to get to those screen(s). If that doesn't help, contact Apple Support (link provided at the bottom of page) to help gain access to your machine.
