How to access files from broken iPhone - Black screen

I

iMore Question

Hey,

I have a broken screen on my iphone 6 plus and I need to access my photos for my university project. The screen is black and doesnt repsond to touch but when plugged into my laptop it is recognised by Itunes but since the screen isn't working, I can't select 'Trust Computer'. Is there anyway round this without having to replace the screen? I've since had a new phone and don't want to have to pay the cost to get it fixed when I only need a few photos :(

No, there is not. Make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store to have the screen repaired/replaced.

Is your new phone a plus model?

Connect your new phone to your computer and measure where the trust button is. Then try the same with the old phone and measure where it should be and try that.

Other than that it's a new screen I'm afraid
