I tried to create an new apple id but used an invalid email address. how to i change the email address?

Welcome to iMore! What was invalid about it? Was it a legitimate email address? If so, you may have entered it the wrong way. I get "invalid" sometimes on email entries. It's usually when I enter it using the predictive keyboard or other method. I have to enter the email address in one character at a time for it to be read as valid. Or the address you're using could be old and expired. You can try creating a new email account and address and use that.
