How do I expand the audio step-by-step directions on VZ navigator question?

how do I expand the audio step-by-step directions on VZ navigator question?

right now it only names the next street, instead of for example "in .6 miles turn right on Main Street" ....this causes me to have to look at the app as well as listen to it

Have you ever tried the native Apple Maps app? It works quite well in my experience.

It's been a few years since I've used VZ Nav but try going to settings within the app, then to Navigation Prompts, and choose from there.

I agree with kch, though, Apple Maps is free and works great. That and an app called Around Me to search POIs (to replace VZ Nav POI search feature)
