how do I end navigation on iphone 6?

When I no longer need navigation on iphone 6 how do I turn off Siri and end navigation?

I think just turning off the screen or returning to home screen will give a rest to Siri after.
Siri by default is running full time ready to serve you at anytime unless you disable the personal assistant in settings.
