Hello to all. I am new to the forum but I have checked
it out a little and it has great info and tips. I searched around
but did not see an answer to this question. I own the 1st
gen. iphone and have downloaded many apps directly to the
phone. If I were to purchase the new 3G phone would have
to reload all those Apps from the App store again? Thanks in
advance for any help.

You only need to sync your iPhone to your computer so that your apps are stored in iTunes. Then when you get the new 3G, you sync it with iTunes and get all your apps.

I figured that it would do that but I have never seen the
Apps anywhere in iTunes when I have had my phone
connected. I can see my music, ringtones, shows, movies
etc. but never seen any apps listed. Where should they be?

Anyone care to provide any info? I have synced my iphone twice tonight and I don't see where they show up anywhere on my itunes settings page. If they are to be in the application tab at the top they are not there. I appreciate any info.

1. Make sure to have the newest version of iTunes

2. When you plug in your iPhone & the iPhone menu-tabs appear, click the applications tab and make sure you ccheck the box that says sync applications. and either sync them all or select the ones you want.
This should do the trick

Also may want to do a de-authorize and authorize... I had to do that after I restored my phone to go back to stock after jail breaking it.

I was wondering if it might be a firewall issue? I do have
the latest itunes and my phone and account are both recognized
on the iTunes store main page. When I click on the apps
Tab none of the Apps I have downloaded onto the phone
appear. It's probably something simple but I can't figure
it out. ????
