Will the 12w USB power adapter MD836B/B Model number A1401 charge my ipod classic 160gb (late 2009) ?

Probably, but I can’t say for certain. I’ve long gotten rid of my iPod Classic, but if it were me, I’d use the one that came with it to be on the safe side.

Okay. I would use a charging brick that came with earlier iPhone models. 5W, if I’m not mistaken.

If you have the Apple Store app installed, you can order the one depicted in the screenshot directly from Apple.

The Apple Store for UK should have a British compatible version to order. Make sure it is the basic 5 volts USB A charger.

Look up specs for your iPod on Google, somewhere you can find exactly what charger it should have, then find one,then buy it !

Is there a sketching on the back of the iPod that mentions either Volts (V), Amperes (A) or Watts (W)? It might be extremely pale.
