CarPlay getting iPhone too hot

Anyone experience their phone get super hot while using CarPlay? I use a aftermarket Pionner stereo and boy does it get really hot sometimes. Anyone have any idea or a fix for this?

if your phone is plugged in in the charger it will get hot.

In my car I have a phoneholder for the air vent in the middle console and when I turn on the AC I turn the vents so that a little cool breeze blows to my phone in order to protect it from overheating during hot weather. In the winter I simply turn of that particular vent for the same reason of protecting from overheating.

Tartarus advice sounds cool to me. I think it is natural for phone to get warm or hot when plug to charging source especially if you make use of such phone, but with Tartarus advice the hotness can be control if not eliminated.
