Can the use of Airdrop affect email messages on an Iphone 6+ phone?

I tapped on AirDrop while looking at my photos; I did not actually send anything. Shortly thereafter I noticed that my email messages in my AOL and Work Exchange Accounts began to disappear to where I do not know.

AirDrop has nothing to do with email. I guess it was something else making your emails disappear.

Check your email settings for both services and check on a browser if your emails are still there.
