I have a cordless charger that works on different phones is my i pad compatible or do i need a certian one

As far as I know, the current crop of iPads aren't compatible.

If your cordless charger is compatible with a Qi receiver, then yes you can. You can find Qi receivers with lightning connectors on Amazon, but in my previous research none of them have a decent enough review to warrant wasting the money.

I think the OP was asking about a portable battery charger and if that is the case then as long as the output is 2.1a then yes you can charge an iPad from it.
