Re: BeWeather v3 (Beta) for iPhone

The app doesn't crash when I try to add a location. But it does crash back to the location list. As soon as I type a letter, it goes back to the list page with the +.

Same here, with BeWeather3 version 3.1.17 and iPadOS 13.3.1. On my old iPad Air, with iOS 12.4.5 (latest for that device), the app drops to the Home Screen ("crashes"). It's still visible in the app switcher, so it's not really crashed, just not "frontmost". I've used and loved BeWeather for over six years, but this is pretty inconvenient, since I loke to check the weather at global sporting events.

Re: BeWeather v3 (Beta) for iPhone

After some further checking, I was able to add a location on 02/08, after the latest updates to iOS and BeWeather3. So I suspect this problem is related to a web API the app uses, probably to obtain likely completions to the entry. That would explain how it could just pop up on two different iOS versions.

Do you have lock screen, notification center, and banners on in settings> notifications? Also in the app is "all" set for notifications?

Yes. Again they used to work for me. Did complete uninstall, restart and installed fresh version.

When you go to settings > BeWeather, does it show a Push ID and Push Token?

I can add locations with no problems. I just can’t get alerts. I am on the latest release. Odd

Updated to 3.1.19 and location add is working normally; what a weird failure this was. I was preparing to rely on Windy. Thanks, @pfluger.
