Apple TV 4th Gen: Netflix - Subtitles always on by default... can't change

Just to echo what everyone else has said, this is happening to me and is HIGHLY annoying. If anyone has figured out what the silver bullet solution is, I will contemplate naming my next child after you if you will share it with me.

I had this happen on my third gen with some Netflix movies and was able to fix it. I'm not sure if this will work for the fourth gen or not.

When the Netflix video was playing, I held the select button until a menu popped up. There was the option of "English" or "off" which related to the subtitles. I switched it to off and was good to go.

I'm seeing this problem on Hulu and Disney Junior.

I would highly recommend that everyone in this thread notify Apple.

The more reports they get on the problem, the higher the priority and urgency for them to get a fix out.
