It's not settled the Epic suite. Outside payment systems still have to pay Apple either 12%, or 27%, which is only a 3% savings from the original 15%, and 30%. That is lower, but many will not see that as a big incentive to bypass Apple's payment system.

The Epic lawsuit is over. The ability to use external payment systems in the USA is what was forced upon Apple by the USA courts, while they can still collect their commission.

Does that conform to the court’s decision? Yes.
Was it the intent of the decision? Maybe yes, maybe no.
Was it what Epic wanted? No
