2.0.61 must have finally dropped for us “little people” yesterday. Mine are updated now.
My AirTag has had its battery replaced. And it updated overnight.
The original battery lasted almost two years. The replacement was about one.How long does one last?
Apple estimates about 1 year on a CR2303 battery. I really can’t complain about it
I agree! Being able to change the batteries was one of the reasons I was drawn to AirTags. The batteries aren't expensive, and they're easy to change.Apple estimates about 1 year on a CR2303 battery. I really can’t complain about it
Thanks for the heads up! Mine have not yet been updated. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to receive the update!Time for a new firmware update watch.
Apple has released 2.0.73 for the AirTag. Mine are still at good old 2.0.61.

Apple starts rolling out new AirTag firmware update - 9to5Mac
Apple is rolling out a new version of AirTag firmware today, the first update since October. Here’s how to check...9to5mac.com
I read 100% of tags by 2024-04-09.Thanks for the heads up! Mine have not yet been updated. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to receive the update!
Same here, all my AirTag tags are now at 2.0.73.I am amazed! I just checked both my AirTags and they have both been updated to 2.0.73!
There is a very funny reason for this. Apparently Apple designed the update so it would start on 3/19/2024, that 10% of devices would be updated by 3/26/2024, 25% by 4/2/2024, and all by 4/9/2024. Except instead of "2024" they put "24" in the date limits and since 3/19/2024 was ~2000 years after the 4/9/24 limit for all devices, every single AirTag was updated as soon as they saw the firmware rather than wait.I am amazed! I just checked both my AirTags and they have both been updated to 2.0.73!
