“Cannot Delete Backup”

Weird glitch on the X.

My 7 plus backed up fine to iCloud early yesterday morning and we picked up our X’s in the afternoon. Last night I tried to delete the 7 plus backup so the X could backup to iCloud but for some reason I am unable to delete it and there is no room for the X backup.

I’ve tried rebooting, force restarting, turning backup off and on, turning iCloud off and on, trying to delete from another device, etc. I also don’t have photos backing up to iCloud (way too many!) so I couldn’t do the “turn photos off and on” fix.

I never had this happen before.

Any suggestions?

According to the iCloud System Status page, Apple was experiencing issues, however, it should be fixed.

But it’s still not letting me delete it.
So weird.

May have to go back into the Apple Store today.
