When I use Siri to provide a location based reminder, I receive no alert when I reach the location. Why?

If I say, "Siri, remind me to take out the trash when I get home," it will appear immediately in the Reminders App but there is no sound alert later when I get home. Location is "ON" on the iPhone 6.

Go to notification settings and turn on sounds for the reminders app.
