Configuring Mail to use be used on external drive, can I get some help?

Configuring Mail to use be used on external drive

Hi All,

Is there a way to configure Mail to be download all the IMAP / exchange mails to external drive instead of the internal drive.

I am currently using a Macbook Pro with SSD drive and don't want mail to consume all the disk space.
