Who has tried local multiplayer?

Here’s another thing I’m curious about, how good is the local multiplayer? It’s one of the things that Nintendo felt was a major selling point, so is it worth the spotlighted attention?

From what i've seen on the internet, it's pretty great. At least compared to the last nintendo device i have owned, ds.
You only need 1 cartridge to play locally on the nintendo switch

This is also something i'm very interested in Single player is nice for those long Zelda adventures, but when it comes to Mario cart, multilayer is a must and has to look good.

No matter if it's family or a friend. I get quite competitive haha.
