Problems with latest security update

I recently updated Turn the latest security update that was released Dec 4th & updating my iTunes but since then my iTunes icon on my dock has disappeared

Is there anything I did wrong

Is iTunes still on your computer? Is it in the applications folder? If so, remove the icon from the dock and re-add it. It's possible the link is broken.

I don't think that this had anything to do with the update, as I have had this happen before on Sierra. It turned out that it was corruption in the system icon cache. See this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7859795?start=0&tstart=0 and see if that helps.

Though it could also be fixed with this, which I might try first: https://gist.github.com/fabiofl/5873100

So, open the terminal and run these two commands:

touch /Applications/iTunes.app
touch /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/Info.plist
